Bailliage of South Africa
April 25, 2020

Enthusiastic celebrations nationwide

Members all over South Africa enthusiastically celebrated World Chaîne Day.

Separate articles on Lynette Walker (Bailliage of Outeniqua) and Ghenwa Steingaszner (Bailliage of Cape Town) have been published.

Otherwise, highlighting two members who actively contributed to the Social Media Wall, Gerhard Maritz, Bailli of Outeniqua, at Hopefield Country House & Guest Farm was leading from the front.

Situated in the heart of the Sundays River Valley, close to Port Elizabeth and a stone’s throw from the world famous Addo Elephant National Park, Hopefield Country House is a haven of comfort and luxury. The establishment offers superior service with unashamed flair.

Gerhard said, “Our hearts go out to anyone who’s been impacted by the virus. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery. And we’re truly inspired by the selfless healthcare workers around the world who are on the front lines working tirelessly to care for people in need. We look forward to welcome guests again from all over the globe to our special part of the world once we have weathered this storm.”

Bailli Délégué Honoraire François Ferreira wished everyone “Happy World Chaîne Day” whilst celebrating at his favourite restaurant “Le Dining Room” at his home! On the menu were mushroom bobotie topped with garam masala prawns followed by an individual cheesecake topped with blackberries and KWV 10-year old Brandy infused compote. All was washed down with De Krans Free Run Chenin Blanc.
