Great Britain - The Langham

London, June 10, 2020

Thanking the community
" The Langham celebrated its 155th anniversary on June 10th "

A Professional member establishment of the Bailliage of London City, The Langham celebrated its 155th anniversary on June 10th.

Unfortunately because they were not able to celebrate with colleagues and guests at the hotel, Managing Director Bob van den Oord, a Maître Hôtelier member of the Chaîne, decided that he and his team would give back to everyday heroes in the local community. This was to say a heartfelt thank you to those who have worked tirelessly over the last few weeks to keep the United Kingdom’s capital city moving.

Along with a surprise voucher for an overnight stay, their iconic afternoon tea was safely hand-delivered in beautiful pink boxes to 155 people including staff from the National Health Service, the emergency services, Transport for London, taxi drivers and many other key workers.
