Wherever you are Wempe wishes you an unforgettable time

Ever since its foundation in 1878, the family-owned Wempe business has never done anything by halves. Throughout the past 135 years, Wempe has also always upheld its policy of offering its discriminating customers outstanding horological quality at affordable prices.

With its two ranges: Wempe Zeitmeister and Wempe Chronometerwerke, Wempe offers a comprehensive selection for every taste – from Zeitmeister quartz watches to intricate Chronometerwerke wristwatch chronometers.

Wempe Glashütte i/SA is deeply rooted in the history of the Saxon watchmaking town of Glashütte. The Wempe Observatory in Glashütte, the only independent and officially certified German Chronometer testing facility and production site of the Wempe Zeitmeister Glashütte i/SA and Wempe Chronometerwerke Glashütte i/SA ranges, has been extended by a new building.

The new premises offer necessary space for the planned expansion of Wempe Zeitmeister manufacturing. Furthermore, the production of precision pendulum clocks and mechanical ships’ chronometers is now housed there. A workshop fitted with CNC (computer numerical control) milling and engraving machines as well as a lathe provides optimal technical equipment.

Through the good offices of Peter Peters, Bailli Honoraire of Saxony, the International Jeunes Sommeliers Competition is delighted to be associated with Wempe and its quality products.

Hellmut Wempe and his daughter Kim-Eva Wempe have generously offered a Wempe Zeitmeister wristwatch – ladies or gents as appropriate – for presentation to the winner of the annual international final.
