The time to celebrate 45 years of Chaîne activity on Guadeloupe

The annual Chapitre of the Bailliage that took place at the « Archipel Guadeloupe » Catering and Tourism College in the town of Le Gosier, was also the time to celebrate 45 years of Chaîne activity on Guadeloupe.

The event was presided over by Alain Taulère, Member of the Conseil Magistral from Costa Rica. At the start of the evening, 24 members were inducted and 9 medals were awarded, including one silver one. Three new members joined the Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs. Following tradition, a toast was given to former members who have now passed on.

The sumptuous dinner was devised and prepared by chefs from Saint-Malo and Guadeloupe, and served by the young students of the college. It was a “veritable marriage of culinary cultures in which the gastronomic talents of Guadeloupe and Brittany were on display”.

Chocolate and clementine macaroons, ‘Bordier’ Breton butter shortbread

 whipped cream flavoured with ‘Vieux Montebello’ rum
