Bailliage of South Jakarta, Indonesia
Jakarta, February 28, 2017

Superb dining experience at the Ritz Carlton

2017’s first event was held in the Glass House of the Ritz Carlton. So named as it features glamorous glass-encased architecture with touches of gold, sparkling chandeliers and beautiful backdrop of lush garden.

Showcasing modern Indonesian gastronomy the dinner was a collaboration between Chef Sean Macdougall of the Ritz Carlton and our very own celebrity chef Petty Elliott.

An Australian national, Chef Sean has over 20 years of experience specializing in multi-cuisine restaurants and banqueting. His impressive CV includes Executive Chef in large chain hotels worldwide including the Ritz Carlton Sharm El Sheik, Shangri-La Jakarta, Park Hyatt Johannesburg, Hyatt Regency Hotel in both Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

Self-taught Indonesian chef, one of Indonesia’s foremost food writers Chef Petty represented Indonesia at the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2014 and 2015. She was the guest chef for the 2016 World Gourmet Summit in Singapore and has just finished a four-month assignment as consultant and Acting Executive Chef at Nihiwatu Resort in Sumba. Her latest cookbook “Jakarta Bites” has won prestigious awards being nominated as the best Street Food Book worldwide.
