Chaîne and Earth Day celebrations combined

It was clear from social media output that World Chaîne Day was welcomed with great fanfare and enthusiasm across the globe. For the Bailliage of Shenzhen this year was unique as celebrating French gastronomy traditions and Earth Day fell on the same date so feting the two events was combined.

Embracing nature by giving thanks for generous gifts of delicious food we receive from our planet took place at Taste Moment Restaurant. We were blessed with sun shining through the reception area’s exquisite setting for the abundance of tasty canapés partnered with Deutz Brut Champagne.

Members and guests gathered in the “White Hall” to watch the Confrérie’s official video to introduce and refresh their understanding of all things Chaîne, before heading to the country-style lunch.

Attention to detail was appreciated. Fresh flowers filled the room and table decorations included a wax seal of the Chaîne logo on the personalized name cards!

The menu featured simple, delightful country dishes from France, showcased by colours, textures, and flavours from the Earth. The two southern French wines were chosen to enhance the rurality of this gastronomy celebration.

The culinary and service teams of Taste Moment Restaurant were resoundingly applauded for the impeccable dining experience. Special thanks went to Trenton the owner for his selfless support, to Executive Chef Greg Gregory for the outstanding cuisine and to Jean Alberti for the orchestration of the excellent service.

Laughter and joy were endless making a true festive atmosphere. At the end everyone gathered in front of the restaurant for a symbolic photo.
