Members and their guests gathered at the InterContinental Resort Pattaya for the Bailliage’s annual Chapitre to welcome new members and celebrate promotions.

Our own Bailli Délégué Honoraire Joe Thawilvejjakul presided over the ceremony in his capacity as a Member of the Conseil Magistral. Four new members were inducted, three were promoted and four new members joined the Bailliage’s Council. Additionally, two of the new members were inducted into the Ordre Mondial.

After the ceremony everyone mingled at “Elements”, the InterContinental’s restaurant with its beautiful view over Pattaya Bay. Champagne Laurent-Perrier and pass arounds were served at the reception.

Moving to the hotel’s ballroom for the Gala Dinner, the diners were regaled with a fine selection of courses paired with excellent wines, all the while enjoying each other’s company.

Bailli Provincial Peter Windgasse welcomed member Harry Bradbury from the Bailliage of Hawaii and Mathi Gerds from Malaysia. David Cumming, our new Conseiller Gastronomique Provincial, and Sukij Wanpuech, the InterContinental’s Executive Chef, guided us through the delights to come.

With the dessert, Barry Upton, our new Chargé de Missions Provincial and former Brit Pop star, entertained us with a performance from his pop songs repertoire. Rather unusual for a Chapitre but very well appreciated!

It was another wonderful Chaîne night in Pattaya and one to remember for sure.
