At the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah
In September, we returned to “Social by Heinz Beck” at the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah last visited four years ago.
Welcomed in the Serafina Bar with Zonin Prosecco Brut from Italy and mouth-watering canapés, the portents for an exciting night being enjoyed by all were enhanced by the resident singer and saxophonist creating a perfect ambiance.
Chargé de Missions Nick Kramer greeted everyone with a short speech which included a salute to the Rulers of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. Executive Chef Sandro Falbo invited us to the restaurant where Chef Francesco Acquaviva explained his concept for the menu. Assistant Beverage Manager Marvin Brinkmann took us through the wine selection.
Consequently our expectations were very high.

Christopher Ingles (Argentier Provincial Honoraire, China) concluded the evening with an appreciation thanking kitchen and service brigades for an excellent event with the highest standards. Food cooked to perfection, perfectly-matched wines, exemplary attention to detail and a lovely gesture of cakes for three members celebrating their birthday. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
Special thanks went to David Wilson, the hotel’s General Manager, for sponsoring the competition prizes making a fun, surprising end to an excellent evening.
