The Bailliage held its March dinner at Restaurant Anarki with the theme “Hyggelig (cosy) gourmet bistro”.

Restaurant Anarki is a wine bistro and accordingly they do take their wines very seriously. The Sommelier, Christian Thorsholt Jacobsen, has twice won the Danish competition for Sommeliers, been Nordic champion once, fourth at the European competition and sixth in the World Championships.

Maître Rôtisseur Rune Sauer Sonnichsen previously cooked traditional French food at Restaurant Mélée where he still is partner but wanted to try something less strict, hence the name Anarki. In his kitchen there are no rules - if it tastes great it will be served.

This we experienced already with the croquette canapé. It was fantastic! The serving was made in the very simple form of a “family style” sharing plate.

Before the coffee was served, Bailli Délégué Jørgen Krenk gave his appreciation of the dinner. He pointed out how impressed he was by the intense flavours of the food and by the abundant lumpfish roe served. The wines were very well selected. So much so that several members made some notes for their personal wine cellar!

The staff this evening counted only three for 58 diners - two in front of the house, and one busy chef. They were rewarded the Bailliage’s special service pin to much applause from the party.

With coffee the small white chocolate petit fours really put a final touch on the dinner. Upon leaving, a small gift from Rynkeby was presented to all attendees. It was a bottle of Dagmar, a high-quality, non-alcoholic juice marketed by the company.
