Portugal Grand Chapitre 2020
Évora, November 6-8, 2020
Wine, gastronomy and culture in the Alentejo
" you should plan for a longer stay to make the best of your visit! "

Due to the restrictions on travel and the recent changes in governmental policy, and although there are still very few cases of coronavirus in Portugal (and none in the Alentejo so far) we have reluctantly decided that it would be safer for all to postpone our Grand Chapitre which will now take place, basically with the same programme and at the same cost, from Friday, November 6th to Sunday, November 8th, 2020.

These dates correspond to our yearly celebration of St Martin, the best time for game in the Alentejo! A revised programme will be sent shortly.

“November in Portugal” brings its own magic to the ancient city of Évora, designated a world heritage site by UNESCO since 1986.

Évora, the capital of the province of the Alentejo, famous for its wine and gastronomy, is a museum city with roots dating back to Roman times.

Join us in discovering the charm of southern Portugal for a long weekend of history, nature, luxury, gastronomy, wine discovery and relaxed Chaîne conviviality.

And of course, you should plan for a longer stay to make the best of your visit!

Dr Jean Ferran, Bailli Provincial of South of the Tagus, enthused, “It is a great pleasure for me to organise this Grand Chapitre in and around the ancient town Évora, one of the most beautiful cities of Portugal, and to introduce you to the little known treasures of the Alentejo. I look forward to welcoming you there!”

This sentiment is reinforced by Bailli Délégué Aníbal Soares, Member of the Conseil Magistral, who advises “Do not fail to reserve this date, I have already done so.” He continued, “I'm sure it will be outstanding. In the city of our Gastronomy School our students will, as usual, not miss the call."
