Bailliage of Shenzhen, China
Shenzhen, July 22, 2017

Duval-Leroy champagnes shine
" Duval-Leroy produces champagnes that are the essence of finesse, lightness and elegance "

The Bailliage’s second ever Ordre Mondial (OMGD) event was a much anticipated champagne tasting held at the Westin Shenzhen.

Adding “excitement” to the event, a level 8 typhoon warning was in force yet everyone who had booked still showed up! They were not to be disappointed – their courage and perseverance were definitely well rewarded by an amazing selection of champagnes, very creative food and impeccable service by the hotel’s food and beverage team.

All the champagnes served came from the House of Duval-Leroy.

A family business and a French institution, Duval-Leroy has dedicated itself to the noble craft of champagne-making since 1859. The pioneering House has always been driven by a quest for high standards and innovation in every aspect of the business, from quality, consistency and certification through to partnerships with sommeliers and chefs.

Duval-Leroy produces champagnes that are the essence of finesse, lightness and elegance. Their champagnes champion the French tradition of creativity whilst looking to the future with the next generation of passionate gourmets leading the world of gastronomy.

First up was NV “Fleur de Champagne Brut Premier Cru” paired with scallop, octopus and prawn ceviche.

The rest of the tasting menu was equally impressive:
- NV “Rosé Prestige Premier Cru” with smoked salmon, palm heart and caviar
- Vintage “Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs” with oyster and tobiko
- Vintage “Precious Parcel Petit Meslier” with foie gras on brioche with raspberry
- Vintage “Femme de Champagne Rosé” with jamón Ibérico and chicken skin.

Everyone had so much fun they lingered on long after the event officially concluded. In the finest traditions of diehard gourmets everyone was already enthusing about the next gathering!
