International Final - save the date!
" At the campus of Le Cordon Bleu "

I am pleased to announce that the 2021 JCR International Competition will take place in Paris, France on September 25, 2021. We are grateful to Le Cordon Bleu and M. André Cointreau, Member of the Conseil d’Honneur, for inviting us to stage our competition at the school’s outstanding campus in Paris.

Competitors will be required to arrive on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 and depart on Monday, September 27, 2021. The Awards Dinner will be on Sunday, September 26, 2021.

We understand that six countries had staged their 2020 national competition and had competitors ready to travel to Paris. These countries may send their competitors to the 2021 competition, along with their competitor from their 2021 national competition. The age limit will be increased by one year for the 2020 competitors. These six 2020 competitors will compete with the entire group, but their scores will be judged separately, and separate standings and awards will be announced. The effect will be that we will be having two competitions within one.

We appreciate the difficulties that our professional members have endured during COVID, and we sincerely hope that the long-term effect will not be too onerous. We encourage you to support your young chefs in their determination to make the culinary arts their chosen career. To participate in and potentially win the JCR Competition is an important stage of advancement in a young chef’s career.

We thank Le Cordon Bleu (Andre Cointreau), Wüsthof Manufacturing (Harald Wüsthof), and Chef’s Hat (Claude Buzon) for their past and continued support of our international young chefs’ competition.
