Cameroon Dinner

Bailliage of Cameroon
Yaoundé, October 27, 2021

At Restaurant Salsa
" the main course was a duo of fillet of beef and duck breast "

On October 27th members of the Bailliage of Yaoundé met in a new setting for a dinner.

The Chef at the Salsa restaurant, a venue renowned for the quality of its cuisine, had put together a special menu in honour of Chaîne members and their guests.

In her welcome speech, Bailli Délégué Chloé Balanos explained how pleased she was with the Bailliage’s energy, with how it organised its meals on a regular basis and with how it was continuing to expand. She took the opportunity to welcome three new members, including His Excellency the Ambassador of Egypt to Cameroon who, after having taken part in meetings organised by the Bailliage for a long time now, had decided to join our prestigious Association.

Chloé also reminded everybody and the newly-promoted members in particular, of the unique character of our Association, the values of excellence and fraternity that unite us, and the importance of upholding great culinary traditions.

She expressed her hope that the energy and warmth of our events continue to grow, and that when we meet, we all take the opportunity to turn these occasions into unforgettable experiences.

After her welcoming address, we started eating: the first course was a chicken and mushroom parcel with a basil jus; the main course was a duo of fillet of beef and duck breast, with a Bordelaise sauce, served with Cocotte potatoes and pumpkin purée, and dessert was a chocolate and salted caramel mille-feuille. A selection of wines was served with the meal.

We ended, as tradition would have it, in song before we said our farewells.
