Australia Triple Bill

Bailliage of South Australia, Australia
North Adelaide, September 2, 2023

Celebrating spring with three events in one evening
" What magnificent memories "

The Bailliage held a triple bill evening to celebrate spring.

The first event was a visit to the magnificent David Roche Museum in North Adelaide. David J Roche AM (1930–2013), was a collector for almost 60 years. The collection, which spans 18th and 19th centuries, is remarkable in both quality and range and includes European furniture, ceramics, metal ware, clocks, and paintings. It contains many luxury works by leading designers displaying exquisite workmanship. Also the quirky and playful which reflects the many interests and engaging personality of its creator. A collection worth visiting!

Members then attended a soirée at the Lion where Bollinger Champagne was consumed and the following noted, “I trifle with it if I'm not hungry and drink it when I am. Otherwise, I never touch it - unless I'm thirsty.”

The third part of the soirée was the Spring Dinner at the most unusual yet beautiful venue of a florist and clothing shop ‘Floristry by Sally’. A walk across the road to dinner from the Lion!

A beautiful spring day to share the first course and Daosa Sparkling Wine on the veranda with members. The main course was slow roasted lamb by Chef Chris Wotton and Kym Longbottom from Vintage Longbottom who presented an array of wonderful wines new to most members.
