From October 13th to 16th the Bailliage of Belgium hosted a Grand Chapitre marking a significant and long-awaited event.

The visionary idea for this gathering was conceived by Vice-Chargé de Mission Grégoire Santi and Chargé de Missions Beat Kocherhans.

The duo successfully brought together delegates from Belgium, the Swiss Bailliages of Fribourg and Zurich, as well as several other nations.

Friday, October 13th
The festivities commenced with an authentic Brussels dinner at “Aux armes de Bruxelles”, one of Belgium's most venerable restaurants. The evening was filled with culinary delights crafted by Maître Rôtisseur Cédric Callenaere.

Saturday, October 14th
We had the privilege of attending an Induction Ceremony at the luxurious Hotel Warwick Barsey led by Thomas Kuhn, Member of the Conseil Magistral, who had travelled from his home in Switzerland where he is Bailli Délégué.

The Gala Dinner which followed was a sumptuous affair, featuring a delectable menu curated by Maître Rôtisseur Nicholas Tsiknakos.

Sunday, October 15th
Began with a mouthwatering brunch, followed by a delightful beer tasting session at the renowned Delirium Café.

A typical Brussels dinner hosted at Stekkerlapatte, featuring newly inducted Maître Rôtisseur Luc Wittevrouw and Maître Restaurateur Chen Lan, made for the perfect evening.

We were honoured as special guests at the NATO headquarters, gaining valuable insights into the organization's functioning and the pressing challenges of our time. The event culminated with a succulent lunch, bringing an end to this memorable and enriching experience.
