Celebrating the Bailliage's 40th anniversary

A thriving economic town, Schaan is home to many local businesses and internationally renowned industrial corporations. Thanks to its central location, Schaan serves as a hub within Liechtenstein. Mayor Daniel Hilti warmly welcomed the event to his municipality.

The three-day programme commenced on Thursday 7th with an “Early Arrival Welcome” casual get-together and aperitif in the Mövenpick wine cellar in Vaduz. Later in the evening the “Welcome Dinner” was at Restaurant Vivid in Triesen.

On Friday 8th participants had three options:
- Tour 1: Mountains of Liechtenstein - the home of the Golden Eagle
- Tour 2: Historic tour through Liechtenstein
- Tour 3: Tamina Gorge - source of a hot spring

Dinner was at Braustube in Schaan.

“Vaduz: (His)Story” on Saturday morning was the title of a tour with Bailli Délégué Honoraire Daniel Jäggi. Participants met at 10am in Peter-Kaiser-Platz square near the government building to visit the National Museum and the Treasury. They then watched the short film “Princely Moments” in the old cinema of Vaduz. After that it was a tour on the city train through the historic Mitteldorf part of Vaduz before arriving at the Court Winery of the Prince of Liechtenstein for a tasting. Afterwards, participants had the option to visit the Vaduz Gourmet Festival on Ratshausplatz square.

In the evening, the Induction Ceremony at SAL in Schaan, was presided over by Thore Sande, Member of the Conseils d’Administration and Magistral, who had travelled from Norway where he is Bailli Délégué.

The six-course Gala Dinner menu featured:
- Tuna tataki with wakame
- Roasted quail breast
- Porcini cream soup with Cognac cream
- Roasted pink beef fillet
- Cheese selection
- Yogurt raspberry tart

The Bailliage was delighted to welcome Chaîne dignitaries, members and their guests from far and wide. Everyone and all the venues contributed to making the three days celebrating the 40th anniversary of the National Bailliage an event to be remembered.
