Flawless event at the InterContinental Nairobi
" There was well deserved applause upon the presentation of each course "
We had a delightful dinner at the InterContinental Hotel that cemented the Chaîne tradition in Nairobi. It was an enjoyable evening inspired by a superb menu, a selection of wines paired to tingle our taste buds, warm conversation and a convivial ambience that was enhanced with great music.
Our hosts, led by General Manager Dieter Franke, without a doubt raised the bar for events in the Bailliage. The thought and creativity that went into the evening was matched by peerless service and operational attention to detail.
We must express our appreciation to Dieter and his team: Oliver Geyer (Resident Manager), Ezra Mungai (F&B Manager), Simon Mungai (Executive Chef) to name but three. The obvious hours of preparation in advance of our arrival and enthusiasm by the entire team were evident throughout the evening.
Members and guests were privileged to have acclaimed jazz pianist, Jacob Asiyo and his ensemble, treat them to a selection of jazz standards.
