Annual Chapitre held on World Chaîne Day

For the third consecutive year the Villa Rosa Kempinski Nairobi hosted the joint Induction Ceremony and Gala Dinner for the Bailliages of Nairobi and Mombasa. It was a delight to have members and their guests from these cities sharing a wonderful evening together.

The ‘Live Cocktail’ station with endless El Miracle Cava Brut in the Presidential Suite gave a fun twist as did the lively piano music. What a photo opportunity with much hilarity it was for the World Chaîne Day photo competition.

Bailli Délégué Shabnam Nayer was the Inducting Officer supported by Andrew Muir, Bailli of Nairobi. Shabnam inducted new members and notable among the promotions were new Nairobi officers: Victor Gitobu (Vice-Chancelier) and Dieter Franke (Vice-Conseiller Culinaire).

The Chef presented a well-designed menu themed ‘organic’ with little surprises delighting his audience. Freshness and combination of interesting ingredients paired with the Chef’s presentation gently teased our taste buds. The cuisine was really enhanced by the stunning décor that provided a visual feast for the senses. The room glittered!
Our sincere appreciation was expressed to the fantastic teams led by Aurelio Giraudo (the hotel’s new General Manager), Marius Ackerman (Executive Chef), Adnan Khan (Director, Food and Beverage) and David Mungai (Food and Beverage). Additional thanks went to Alyana Popat of Uva Wines and Meera Karia of Vivo Wines for the superb organic wines selection perfect for the occasion.

As a memento everyone received, a specially-designed and crafted branded Chaîne glass to celebrate World Chaîne Day.
