China Dinner

Bailliage of China
Beijing, May 5, 2018

It can't always be caviar

“It can’t always be caviar” is a novel written by a renowned Austrian writer and it really doesn’t have to be, with some exceptions of course!

The Chaîne in Beijing lived up to this motto at its dinner on May 5th by hosting a “Maibock” (May beer) event with down-to-earth Bavarian food in the Paulaner Bräustube within the Lufthansa Center Beijing.

A "bock" beer is a special brew with about 6.3% to 7.5% alcohol by volume. It is a lightly-hopped lager-style beer usually consumed at a spring festival with the Labour Day celebration in May being no exception.

Before festivities got underway, we had a brewery tour led by Wolfgang Sesser, Brew Master of the Paulaner Bräustube.
