Our September dinner was held at Brasserie 9 which is a French restaurant at the heart of the city occupying an elegant, colonial-style villa with a relaxing ambiance.

In a skilfully re-modelled mansion dating from Siam’s momentous Rama V era, the exterior combines elements of grandeur with rustic charm, featuring gleaming glass fixtures and timber beams.

The dinner started with a very warm welcome to the members and guests from a group of “little chef” children and our host, Chargé de Missions Linus Knobel.

This was followed by a truly exceptional dinner with the eight-course menu prepared by young Swedish Chef Kenny Karlsson and his brigade. Each course was paired with superb wines carefully selected by Échanson (since Honoraire) Thomas Schmelter.

Naturally, our thanks went to Linus Knobel for hosting the Bailliage for this very special evening. Warm appreciation was also shown to Chef Kenny and his brigade as well as to the serving staff for the fine food and excellent service. They all made this event a very memorable experience.
